Psychology Associate/Externship
Appropriate for: Clinical Psychology Students (Psy. D/Ph.D)
Scheduling: Trainees are asked to commit at least 2 days per week. Work hours are flexible and trainees are expected to carry a case load of 8 to 10 patients. Some hours may need to be scheduled evenings to accommodate patient needs. All externs must be available for a consultation meeting/group supervision meeting once a week. Additional supervision hours will be scheduled individually. There is flexibility in scheduling.
Who can apply: Trainees who are eligible or already have a Maryland psychology associate license and at least two years of clinical experience are preferred. Basic testing coursework is required, and psychological testing experience is preferred.

Description of Externship: Externs will receive training in psychotherapy with a diverse population with children, adolescents, and/or adults. All externs will treat at least 8-10 patients (children, adolescents, adults) weekly in ongoing individual therapy. Conducting group therapy (co-led with another clinician), and presenting training workshops the community can be provided, if desired. Externs will also participate in weekly individual supervision sessions, weekly consultation and supervision sessions. Trainees will have the opportunity to present complex therapy and cases and obtain helpful feedback from supervisors, fellows, staff psychologists, and co-externs.
Clinical Psychologist Position
The Maryland CBT Center is accepting applicants for part-time or full-time licensed psychologist on a rolling basis for our growing private practice based in Bethesda, Maryland. We specialize in CBT and exposure-based treatments for individuals with Anxiety Disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders and Trauma Related Disorders.
We are passionate about providing evidence-based interventions to patients through culturally sensitive and value driven approaches. We provide weekly group case consultation, training incentives and a steady stream of patients. Clinicians are welcome to make their own schedule.
