 Sanchita Sharma, PsyD. is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in treating anxiety and related disorders in children, adolescents, and adults. Her treatment area of focus includes anxiety disorders (generalized anxiety, social phobia, separation anxiety, specific phobias, panic disorder), obsessive compulsive disorder, body-focused repetitive behaviors (hair-pulling, skin-picking behaviors), parent training, behavior management, and post-traumatic stress disorder.

Dr. Sharma utilizes various evidence based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy treatments including: Exposure-based therapies (including Exposure and Response Prevention), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Behavioral Activation, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF – CBT).

Dr. Sharma received her doctorate at Florida Institute of Technology. She completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the Rothman Center for Pediatric Neuropsychiatry at University of South Florida and a pre-doctoral internship at Allegheny General Hospital. Dr. Sharma has worked with a diverse range of patients in several healthcare settings including hospitals, community mental health clinics, and outpatient centers. Dr. Sharma also enjoys teaching and has taught at George Washington University and the Catholic University of America.
